Nothing Exciting to Report
(side note, the research I'm doing kinda helped with trivia last night when we had the question "Besides the San Francisco 49ers, what are the 3 other teams that are undefeated in the Superbowl?" answer at the end of the post in case you're wondering. hint ... hubby would have killed me if I didn't get this answer correct)
Getting ready to watch a movie "The Haunting of Rebecca Verlaine" which could be good ... but then again it could be really really bad. You never know with the movies that hubby chooses. All I know is it's a horror movie (really, are you surprised?) and it appears to be of the low budget indie variety.
One more small thing...I"m really enjoying having a laptop. damn you Monica, you were right.
P.S. the answer is NY Jets, Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

trivia today
After a quick breakfast at Big Boy we went and played. And we qualified at the end to move on to the finals (which is a big deal....last time we qualified for the semis we didn't make it to the finals)
The finals were @ US-12 in Wayne. There were 35 teams there total. They fed us and the game started around 3:30pm.
It was pretty cool all in all. But in the end we failed to answer the final question correctly, combined with the wrong answers all thru the game, and we ended up betting it all at the end and lost.
There's always next time. For my team anyway. If i start working for mytrivialive I can't play in the tournaments anymore. But I can still play each week ^_^

Like i need something else ...
As far as my life, lately things are going okay. Hubby lost his job on Sunday but we've been "hitting the pavement" pretty thoroughly this past week and he seems confident something is gonna come up. And I had an interview Wednesday with mytrivialive to be a trivia host for their shows. I have an audition Sunday during the show @ Chick's bar @ 6pm. I've hosted karaoke before ... this will be a piece of cake I'm sure. The only bummer is that once I work for them I can't play in tournaments. So we have recruited a newer member, da banshee, to help with tournament play. I'm totally bummed tho. At least I get to play every week with my team tho ... and I can always go and cheer them on wherever they are. If we didn't need the $$ I would have seriously turned the job down because of that. I love trivia that much!
Showed my finished pirate scarf to someone at the bar last night and she inquired as to how much it would be to get me to make a couple. YAY!!! So I need to take nice pics of the finished product tomorrow before I hand them off to Rich.
Watched a movie today that had me BAWLING like a baby. "The Namesake". It's about a family who moves to America from India. I am a sucker for things Indian so I had to see it, and I wasn't disappointed. I highly recommend it. But make sure you have kleenex!
Time to get back to crocheting. I have 2 more scarves to finish by Monday. gifts so I'm not getting paid ... but if they wear them I could get work from it. We'll see ^_^

Brain Dead
Gilmore Girls
Frasier
Everybody Loves Raymond
Party of Five
We weren't entirely sure, but since we were in 4th place we figured no guts no glory. If we didn't bet anything we wouldn't win anything since chances were all the other teams prolly weren't going to bet. (You have to wager on the last question from 0 - however many points you have) And wouldn't you know, we pulled out the win with 94 points ... 35 points ahead of the 2nd place team (who was in 1st going into the final question) so we won a $30 gift certificate for the bar! woo-hoo!!!
(for the answer highlight below)
1. Frasier
2. Everybody Loves Raymond
3. Gilmore Girls
4. Party of Five
I spent the biggest portion of today scanning and separating pics and listening to pandora.com. I forgot how much I enjoy their player and it introduced me to a new artist today (the song on my profile) I really like him and plan on getting his CD relatively soon.
This is my old school scanner for reference. It takes about 4 minutes for it to scan a full page (which is about 3 - 6 pics depending on how big they are)

While going thru my scanned pics I found an old one of me (from 9th grade I think) that I absolutely loved back then and love even today. It was in the girls locker room at RHS and the girl I'm with, I think her name was Tammy Lockheart. yes I have a mullet but it doesn't look that bed imho.

Also managed to find some of our pics from our honeymoon at the Myrtles. Still gotta separated most of them, but here's a cool pic of their haunted mirror in the downstairs hallway.

Also watched the American Idol premiere tonight. Some crazy peoples on there. Seriously think some of them just act all fired up and weird for the possibility of getting screentime. I KNOW the guy in the Princess Leia getup did it for that reason alone.
Kevin just got home, so it's time to pop some corn and watch "i now pronounce you Chuck and Larry" Good times!

Last Day of NaBloPoMo
Heading off the slumberland right now. I've trivia-ed myself to death today. I played so much online jeopardy that I was getting all repeat categories...even the final jeopardy ones. So
tomorrow should go well.
I shall update on twitter our progress tomorrow. I'm sure we're gonna be $1000 richer by 5PM! (power of positive thinking and all that jazz)
nighty night!

another day in the life
another day in the life
I have to thank Gina for her suggestion of grape juice and iron pills. They are like a miracle cure right now for me. Normally, no matter how much caffeine i do or don't ingest, I'm exhausted most of the day and have to take a nap around 6 or 7PM regardless of what I've done.
But the past couple days I've actually been slightly productive and awake. Yesterday I woke up around 12noon and stayed awake without a nap until 2am (which is a big deal for me...i know i sound lazy but whatever) and today I woke up around 11am. I'm so excited. Maybe I can actually get on a regular sleep schedule and be awake when the rest of the world is.
Plus it's helping me get my xmas gifts done. I have 2 afghans done and 2 more that are about 4/5ths of the way done ... should finish them on Sunday. That will only leave 3 more, but they're easy. Who knows! This year I could be done with my crochet goodness BEFORE december 24th lol. No carpal tunnel for me this year.
So I"m on my way to darts in a few w/ the fizzle. hope I have a decent game. And then tomorrow is all about trivia. So if you see me online and I don't respond right away don't be mad. I'm just mega cramming my brain for Saturday's tournament and the chance to win $1500 in cash and prizes!!!!

I Totally forgot the best part!!!!
After the halftime questions we played a game to determine who would get 3 bonus points and who would get a Miller prize. 1 person from each team went to a table and played:
I was pink.
I totally didn't get the bonus points but I found the green marble and won a Miller Lite Sportscenter T-shirt (which won't fit me ... so it's prolly going to my sister next time I see her)
YAY for HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPOS!!!!!!
