Saturday Scruples! A game of moral dilemmas! A Weekly Meme as Mentioned by MSMBC!:

1. "'That was good for me. Was it good for you too?' Well it wasn't. Do you say so?

no. I just don't do it again :p~

2.You lose a gold watch and are reimbursed by the insurance company. A month later you find the watch. Do you return the money?

No. No real reason. I mean come on, it's an insurance complany!

3.You recognize your favorite movie star having a quiet coffee at a deli. She is incognito to avoid being bothered. Do you approach her?"

no. I have a hard enough time talking to famous people that are there specifically for the fans (i.e. Joe Kocur) there's no WaY I'd be able to do this!
OMG! Sergei Federov is an Anaheim Mighty Duck! I can't believe it! I listened to the press conference and he said that he didn't get enough credit here in Detroit. *rolls eyes* I don't know. I just am disappointed. I didn't like him much but he was here for 13 years! Where's the loyalty? lord have mercy! I have much more to say ... much more! But right now I'm just in shock!

The Music of Dave Caruso, featuring music, lyrics, photos, tour dates, audio, video and more!

OMG! this will lead you to the website of one of my FAVORITE local musicians who was a member in one of my FAVORITE bands when I was in high school (and a few years after).

As a side note, unless you knew this band, you may find this boring to read

So anyway, the reason I lead you there is because I just had the BEST time! There was a concert tonight at the Pier 500 here in Wyandotte. !!!CARUSO!!!

Okay ... I need to gather my thoughts! I just had such a great time! I forgot how much I LOVED their music and how talented they were ... excuse me! ARE! They were amazing. It was a Caruso reunion show. Anna told me about it originally then I got the email from Dave Caruso telling me about it (newsletter type thing, you know) SO I got all excited and told a couple people ... specifically Chicken. Unfortunately she's in Missouri and can't get up here. So I was resigned to the fact that I was gonna have to go with Kevin ... and he was NOT a Caruso fan AT ALL! As luck would have it tho, Anna came up the Sultana's on Friday night and I asked if she would like to go with me. She said yes :D and so we went tonight.

The place was PACKED by the time we got there a little after 8PM. The opening act was supposed to start at 8 and then Caruso was gonna come on stage at 9 ... but they were running late. Which was good for us as we wandered around about 15 minutes before we finally found a spot to stand and then these nice people offered us the 2 extra seats at their table. Really good spot ... in front of the stage and off to stage right a little bit. So the opening act was cool. I didn't know who he was, but there were people there that did. Nick something or other. I'm sure his name is on the website somewhere. Before Caruso took the stage they showed both an old video of 3 of them (I think it was Rob, Dave and Joe ... might have been Rob, Dave and Mike tho... when they were younger I get kinda confuzzled cuz I met them a few years later) anyway, they were singing "Nowhere Man" by the Beatles in their van. It was so cute! Then they played a slide show of pictures thru their career as Caruso to the tune of "the boys are back in town" by Thin Lizzi. When that was done they took the stage.

It was AWESOME! they sounded just the way I remembered them! The one bummer was that Mike wasn't there with them. He was on a tour ... I'm assuming for his book 5 cool ideas (which they plugged at the concert and also sold!).

Anyway ... I digress ... the show was awesome! I forgot how many songs of theirs I loved ... and Dave played my favorite song in the whole wide world (By Caruso) Princess. I have that song written out in an old journal of mine somewhere. I was so proud when I did that. I listened to the song over and over and picked it out on my piano at home and wrote it out so I could play it for Laura and chicken and school. I did and Laura made me play it for Rob. I was so nervous. I remember also going to that Irish place in Southland Mall (across from the movie theatre .. it's now a Ruby Tuesday's and the movie theatre's a Borders) and I sang along to it as well as all the Caruso songs I remembered (which turned out to be alot) Caruso's music is kinda along the same line as the Romantics in case you aren't familiar with it. They also did alot of covers ... all very well I might add.

I got to say hi to Dave and Rob before the show briefly ... but I didn't really linger cuz I knew they were kinda nervous about the show (it's the first time they played together in 10 years they said) So the whole show I kinda sat there, listened to the music, sang along when I could and had a dopey grin on my face. I also imagined they looked over to me once or twice (Rob and Dave anyway ... the others don't matter ... and Joe is so full of himself he didn't even recognize me:p~) After the show Anna and I went and got our Caruso freebies (I got 2 of each so I could send one to Chicken) and then said our goodbyes and congratulations to Dave Caruso. That was when the BEST part of the night happened :D!!! He asked me about karaoke at Slip's and I told him I haven't been there in a year since they decided not to have it anymore and he told me that the last time Rob was up visiting from Louisiana that Dave took him up there to see me. That Rob specifically wanted to come and see me!! OMG! I was in complete shock! I was so happy! I felt like a giddy high schooler again! So I searched Rob out to tell him how amazing he was (he did an AWESOME drum solo just like he used to do walking thru the crowd and stuff) and gave him a hug and said ... seriously I don't remember what I said. I just hugged him and told him he was awesome and was glad to see him and we left. I was floating!

So I had a great time! I wish Chicken could have been here to enjoy it with me ... but Anna was a bunch of fun too. She put up with me *BIG HUGS* I know I totally reverted to being a teenager while I was there. And at the end of the night, I remembered that I had a huge crush on Rob. I forgot about that. I remember looking at my old journals a few months ago and seeing Jazmyn hearts Rob and I was like *who the heck is Rob?* and tonight I remembered! everyone else thought Joe was all that and I was crazy about Rob ... and I fluctuated between him and Dave once I started going to see Dave in person . I always love a piano player. But I also love the drums! And Rob is so NOT a typical drummer! (I.e. Mark) ... I was just flying tonight and I'm flying still and I'm gonna have Caruso dreams and I can't wait to talk to Heather .... or Jayson ... or my mom even! Kevin just doesn't understand and Anna bless her heart doesn't have a clue how deep my infatuation with Caruso went. I'll tell you about it someday ... soon I hope. But for now I have to go to sleep. Sweet Dreams!
