Dreams

I had the craziest dreams last night. I don't remember much, but I remember driving back from Louisiana and we had to cross a bridge made of logs laid right to left and people kept driving onto the bridge from the other way and losing control and sliding all over the bridge and hitting our car (but it wasn't a car...it was like a semi or a bus or something cuz it didn't hurt us at all) we finally stopped on the other side of the bridge and heard the police sirens on the other side of the bridge (where we just came from) I guess cuz of all the cars that were sliding all around ... we all wanted to check it out (musta been a bus) so we were gonna try walking across the clearing to see (there were trees in the way on the side of the road) but it was down an incline...so we all walked down and when we got to the bottom it was kinda muddy ...a couple people almost lost their shoes...then I got to the bottom and I sunk right into the mud up to the bottom of my bra. It was not pretty. And no one came back to help me. I remember thinking in the dream that it was because I am fat. So I tried climbing back up the incline and it became uber steep and I had to dig into the ground and inch my way up and I remember thinking "I've had this nightmare before" ... but I finally made it to the top. That's all I remember. It was really really weird. I wanted to try and sleep longer to see what was going to happen, but I was wide awake.

I'm gonna try exercising in a few. Maybe I'll get 10 minutes today. I didn't get to workout yesterday...it was a bad day for me. Everything set me off. I'm having family issues and money issues and it all came to a head yesterday. Maybe I'll tell you about it tomorrow, I'm trying to not think about it or else I'll get hurt and angry and stuff all over.

Exercising Day 2

Well, I got 8 minutes on the Weslo Cardio Glide today. I had to stop not because I was out of breath or anything, but my legs actually started to get wobbly. I'll be tomorrow I can get 10 minutes! I did it a little slower than yesterday...I'm not really sure on how to pace myself on there and how fast I should be going since there isn't an instruction booklet. Maybe I can contact the manufacturer....(well they have one at weslo.com but I have to purchase it for $3...I'll have to get the cc from Kevin I guess) There's features I think on the cardio glide i can use eventually to make my workout better. The way i figure it tho any working out I do is better than what I was doing (which was nothing) so even if all I do is lose like a lb a week I'll be happy *hugs*

Now it's time to eat:p

I couldn't have said it Better!

from a google group I found today:

It is superstition and magic -- faith -- that sustain all life,
actually. Very few of us would bother getting up in the morning if we
did not have faith that we were going to have a productive and/or
entertaining day. Without faith that there is a future, there is no
reason to continue living.

Even the vaunted "scientific method" is, in the end, religion -- a very
*useful* religion, that has resulted in lots of nice goodies for many
people, but one that is fundamentally based upon an unprovable religious
belief (that the world is rational and can be explained via logic and
mathematics).

I suppose we could differentiate between useful religious beliefs
(such as those which increase the wealth and peace of the Earth) and
non-useful religious beliefs (those which decrease the wealth and
peace of the Earth), but then we would in turn be practicing yet
another religion -- Utilitarianism -- which, similar to all other religious
beliefs, is a matter of faith.

Even you practice a religious belief based on faith rather than
anything provable -- faith that religion is bunk. You are a recursive
function, my friend, practicing religion at the same time you decry
it. Interesting.

As for me, I pick and choose the beliefs I will accept on faith in order
to discard those that are unnecessary drivel or which contradict what my
eyes tell me. But even that faith in my eyes is faith, not reality, since
quantum mechanics tells us that the very act of viewing changes reality.

Magikjaz Unplugged: April 2005

I have changed up my blog to a template they provided cuz I was having troubles with my comments. Unfortunately, since I did that, all my comments have now been removed. I'm rather upset about that, but there's nothing I can do now. Eventually I'll change up the colors...but for now I'm just being lazy lol

Exercise machine part 2

Here's another picture (again dont' mind the dirtiness behind it) It shows how it goes up and down. I tried working out on it today and I was all set to do 15 minutes...I could only do 5 minutes...and it was probably closer to 4 1/2 minutes lol I'm so out of shape. i'm not getting discouraged tho...If I can maybe work out 3 times a day 5 minutes each I can work up to 10 minutes ...then 15... So I'm not discouraged yet. Just tired lol Posted by Hello

Exercise Machine Part 1

I got a new exercise machine on Sunday courtesy of the cheapcycle group (or something like that) It's a Weslo Cardio Glide and I got it for $30. Here's one picture. (Don't mind the dirty apt behind it...we're working on moving) Posted by Hello

Such a great Weekend!

I had such a great weekend!!!! Friday I worked. It was kinda slow but I would have stayed open until 2...Sparky didn't want to tho so we shut down around 1am. That's cool. On Saturday Ricky came and picked me up and we went to Mexican town for dinner. El Zocalo's to be precise. It was SOOOO yummy! Then we went over to La Gloria bakery for dessert. I had him try a churro and a mexican wedding cookie. He LOVED them (of course)! I told him I want the wedding cookies @ my wedding and he was like "heck yea!" lol

After that we went to Boogie Fever in Ferndale to meet up with Annette and her friend Karen (she looks like Better Midler with dishwater blonde hair) That was alot of fun! I felt kinda conspicuous and didn't dance, but I had fun watching everyone! There was a guy there I called Shaq (he was HUGE!) and Jay Leno was there too (swear he looked like him...just a little younger) And this guy who was so frigging nasty! Supposedly he's actually a P-I-M-P and he was there with his hos! He had one black , one white (man she was nasty) and one Asian (we think Phillipino maybe but weren't too sure) Karen said something about "maybe he has a big schlong" and so I, being curious, looked. He had a HUGE bulge in the front of his pants. It looked like he stuck a grapefruit there. It couldn't have been real. It wasn't moving lol.

We left there around 11 and met Kevin at another quieter bar. Boogie Fever is great and I think I wanna have at least part of my bachelorette party there, but the music changed around 11 and went from 70s & 80s to rave type stuff. OH! There was a bachelorette party there and we got to take a look inside the bus they rented (take a peek yourself HERE) It was so cool! $570 for 6 hours tip included. So if we got 20 people confirmed that would be a little less than $30 each. It might be too expensive, but who knows! We could even maybe get it for the Saturday night after the wedding.

We parted ways and Kevin and I went to Gizmo's for a drink before going home and ran into Smitty from the Black Sheep. That was kinda cool but kinda sad cuz it reminded me how much I miss the Sheep :(

Sunday we woke up and ran out to Hamtramck to get a Weslo Cardio Glide Excersisor for me:D $30!!! (It's so cool! I'll post a couple pics after this. I'm so excited! I can't wait! I start tomorrow. I did a little yesterday when we got back from Joey & Julie's last night and it's pretty fun!) Then we went to Joey & Julie's for Joey's bday party. BBQ. It was fun and I got to show everyone my wedding ideas. The only downside was my little shadow Zachary didn't cling to me like usual, he was Kevin's shadow. He said he wants Uncle Kevin to take him to see Star Wars and I asked if I could go and he said no :( Little boogerhead!

Sunday night we went to karaoke at Somewhere in Wyandotte (that's the name of the bar...HONEST!) and Carol and Al met us up there. We watched the Pistons game and after they had karaoke for a couple hours just for the heck of it. It was so much fun! Relaxed and not too loud and I got to talk to Carol and Al which is always good;) After we went up to 7-11 and ran into Richard up there. He's back. So we talked for a little bit and I'm gonna give him a call Wednesday. If he gets a car Kevin's going to try and get him into his place. Right now he's working as a dishwasher at Fire Mountain on Eureka in Taylor and he's only making $6/hour...and he's been there a year! Kevin's place STARTS dishwashers @ $8!!!

Today was hard to wake up, but wake up we did cuz Ricky invited us over for a BBQ!!! It was supposed to be us, Annette and John, Celia and Esther, my mom, and of course Ricky's mom and brother and him. Well we were the first to show up around 2:30pm....and the only! We had a good time tho! We talked and ate and then went for a drive over to check out our new house...it's only like 10 minutes from Ricky's house! I could seriously ride a bike to see him when we move (after I lose weight and get into slightly better shape of course) He also drove us around town to show us where things were and also showed us the Condo he wants in Farmington Hills (it's so pretty!!!) We left around 6pm and he loaded us up with all the 2 liters of pop (like 6) plus a plate of potato salad, a plate of macaroni salad, a plate of meat (burgers and bbq chicken),a bowl of fruit salad, a plate of chocolate cake, and a HUGE 22 lb bag of ice (cuz he needed the freezer space lol) So we have dinner for tomorrow lol.

On the way home we drove by our house again. I'm getting more and more excited about it as it gets closer. I can't wait to get out of this apt. We also stopped for movies. Rented De-Lovely (with Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd...it's about Cole Porter), The Motorcycle Diaries (about Che Gueverra) and some horror movie by Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre). We just got done watching De-Lovely (well about an hour ago now) and I must say it was on par with "RAY" as far as a movie biography goes. Kevin Kline was brilliant...as was Ashley Judd actually. I cried at the end (and in a scene in the middle...can't tell you about it until I make sure it was based in fact...okay...I did some research and it's true but I still can't tell you as it's a spoiler. If you want to know highlight here:

he had some horticulturists take 2 roses thought to be completely incompatible and make a hybrid which was then named after his wife

Anyway, the movie was great!

Okay, I'm gonna try and get some sleep now. I'm so tired! Hopefully Kevin isn't snoring lol SWEET DREAMS!!!!
