My Parttime cat is gone *sniffle*

We finally took the cat the the anti-cruelty society in Detroit today. I just got home. I admit I cried. I felt so bad telling them we just couldn't afford to take care of it. From the time we put him in the carrier to the time we got to the ACS he meowed and was shaking so bad. Nothing I could do would calm him down. Once we got there and out of the car he settled down tho. He was a good kitty. They filled out paperwork for him and I got a ref # thingy so I could call on him and check up to make sure he's okay.

I looked at the paperwork and he's broken down to "stray DSH eats dry food around since November taken in 2 weeks ago likes people and other cats" And I just feel he's so much more. oh goodness I miss him already.

Kevin promises once we get taxes back we'll see if he's okay and available and get him back. Part of me hopes so...part of me hopes he finds a fabulous home before we can get him back.

Memories

Listening to talk radio & this chick is talking about how she has memories that she didn't actually remember until she started discussing things in therapy. Which makes me think...how much of my life don't I remember?

My Parttime Cat

Well I've made an executive decision. We can't afford to take the cat to the vet @ this time, so we're taking it tomorrow to the Anti-Cruelty Society of Michigan. According to their website they take in all rescued cats and dogs and take care of them and find homes for them ... as long as they don't have any communicable diseases. Their adoption fee for cats is $100. We're taking my cat their tomorrow so they can make sure he's okay and maybe get him a good family. In a few weeks, when we can afford it, we'll be back (maybe sooner) to adopt him if all goes well.

I'm starting to cry. I told Kevin if I don't go with him to make sure to tell them he's a good cat and he likes treats and he doesn't bite or scratch...not intentionally anyway...and he likes cats and he doesn't mind being picking up as long as he knows he can trust you. I'm starting to tear up as I write this. I hope he is taken care of. I know i haven't given him a name yet but I still love him so much. He deserves much better than we can give him tho .. keeping him in the backroom like a prison.

and the bus announced his retirement at the post game show holding the lombardi trophy. Made me all choked up and I cried a little. It was awesome! We didn't win any squares, but I'll be getting a Superbowl XL pittsburgh Steelers championship tshirt!!!!

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!

OMG I HAVE TO SHARE! I entered us into a small contest with a local radio station. 94.7 WCSX classic rock station. They had a contest where you emailed them why they should crash your superbowl party and they were choosing 94 of the entries to crash. So i wrote them about how we're huge football fans...we watch football all day Sunday...wait! lemme see if i have a copy!

Dear WCSX Party Crashers,
My finace and I are avid football fans. We've been together for 6 years and every Sunday during football season (regular and post) is FOOTBALL SUNDAY! We wake up in time to watch pre-game and are glued to the TV the entire day watching whatever football we can get. Even on Thanksgiving, much to the chagrin of non-football fan family members, the day is centered around the games. Of course, with me being a die-hard Lions fan and he a NY Jets fan, we didn't have much to cheer about this season, but we did our best to support our teams!

We just bought a house in July, so this is going to be our first Superbowl party here. We are also planning a wedding for May 5, 2006. We're trying to make this party the best it can be for our friends, family and ourselves before we must put all we have towards our upcoming nuptuals. We would love for you to come to our party and make it one we will all remember for years to come!

So apparently they saw something they liked cuz THEY'RE CRASHING OUR PARTY!!!!! They're supposed to be here between 12noon and 1pm...which is good cuz i was actually afraid they would show during the party and was worried about what if there isn't15-20 people here (there might not be...people are flaking left and right...as usual for our parties...seriously I'm thinking only about 20 people are gonna show to our reception lol)

So I have to put some makeup on. I just woke up. I was calling people last night around 2am (cuz kevin never listens to his phone messages and they called his phone so we didn't hear the message until we got home from the bar @ 2am..and I proceeded to call people in the middle of the night i was so obnoxious!) I'm gonna be so tired!
