Some vocal playing around
we have to take a song and "make it our own" for a contest I'm in on singsnap right now. basically mess around with timing and melody. so I did some practicing tonight.
they're kinda pitchy, but I'm also kinda proud of them. I took 2 songs I had never heard before and just listened to the music and this is what i came up with.
(warning ... both of them have a long musical interlude right in the middle)

Totally can't think of anything worthwhile to say today (i'm sure there's something deep in my head just haven't found it yet) so instead, here's an adorable pic of me and my dad I found while going thru pics I had scanned onto my computer.

Once upon a Time
Once upon a time, when I was about 8 or 10 years old, I tried to kill myself. I snick downstairs in the middle of the night and took 6 of every pill that was on the kitchen windowsill above the kitchen sink. I then made my way back upstairs to my room and locked myself in my closet.
fortunately (or unfortunately as the case may be ) the pills I took were vitamins and supplements. They did no bodily harm. And I spent all night sleeping in the closet in my room upstairs.
this was the first time, but not the last.
