nothing much to report

life today was pretty much at a standstill. I did almost nothing today but sleep. I'm sure it was slight depression kicking in. I woke up with intentions of mass cleaning the house, but ended up watching soaps as I listlessly surfed teh interwebz and then took a (not needed in the slightest) nap at around 6PM until almost Wings/Pistons game time.

(BTW...YAY WINGS!!!!)

I'm just still in a funk I guess. All i could think of yesterday was what if it was my parent? or my husband? I've only had 8 years with my hubby and the thought of not having him absolutely brings me to my knees. I am utterly at a loss to imagine what Jay's mom is feeling after sharing her life with her hubby for over 40 years.

And I completely lose control when I think of losing any of my parents.

so yea, I'm trying not to dwell on it but I can't help it. And I can't seem to get the words together to even get the emotions out in a blog or even in a journal. Whenever i start to write I just sit and look at the empty page and nothing comes out. I don't know why.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I'm gonna clean the house and we're planning on having a BBQ and bonfire tomorrow night after hubby gets home from work. just hotdogs and brats. Maybe some tater salad. and chicken for the fizzle.

BYOB. stop by if you want. Anytime after 7pm. get in touch with me if you need directions.

A rough couple of days

I don't quite have the words right now for what has been going on for the last couple days.

My mother was an absolute dream for me and she let me bottow her car yesterday and today so that I could spend time with Jayson.

The viewing was yesterday from 1pm-9pm. I was able to get there around 2:30pm and stayed until around 7:30pm at which time I left to get mom and then go play darts (hopped up on about 50 cups of coffee)

Funeral today at 11am. Got there just in time. Emotional Rollercoaster.

Rode with the family to the cemetary. Went to Old Country Buffet afterwards and had a great time.

So sad it was under the circumstances, but so happy that I was able to spend time with Jay, Ruben and their mom.

Will expound more tomorrow hopefully. Right now I just want to veg and have a frosty adult beverage and thank the gods and goddesses I still have my mom, my dad and my husband (along with all my friends of course)

oh so true quote

from Boston Legal tonight

"friendships are a little like backyard gardens. We Plan to tend to them. We just always seem to put it off until next week"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is extremely true for me in the case of both friends and family. I even made a resolution to be better at being a friend and I just suck.
I'm sorry. Please know that even if I don't tell you how much I love you and how much I appreciate you, I absolutely do.
OMG! What am I doing up at this hour!?!
Hubby had to wake up super early today to go do his civic duty (a.k.a. work force) so I woke up with him to make him some coffee and have a couple minutes with him before he left, and now I can't go back to sleep. I'm so tired! ut I made the mistake of turning on the puter and checking some emails while I was waiting for him to wake up and now my brain has turned on and it's not turning off. DAMMIT!!!
So the movie last night was pretty damn bad. Hubby was all excited cuz the movie was on the hot list forever so he was sure it was gonna be good! and he was in the mood for a really good horror movie last night. Well ... "The Haunting of Rebecca Verlaine" was NOT a really good horror movie. It inadvertantly was a comedy and SO BAD! On par with the Japanese movie I watched with da banshee last summer when I spent the night. The only thing missing was a vajayjay with teeth.
The story was about a girl who was the sole survivor of a massacre at a commune. She suffers some kind of post traumatic amnesia and is raised by her Aunt and Uncle w/o any knowledge of what happened or who she was. 10 years down the road it comes back to haunt her ... in more ways than one.
It wasn't the WORST movie I've ever seen, but it was so poorly done I couldn't help but laugh. Almost every character had like a 10 minute monologue to try and illuminate the story, but all any of them did was almost succeed in putting me to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So today I have to clean the house (blech) and work some more on the wordpress thing. I was gonna work on transferring my posts from myspace to blogger but that is gonna take some time and deserves my undivided attention when I get around to it.

Also thinking of going to the drive in to check out the new Indiana Jones movie tonight at midnight! SO EXCITING!!!!

So I guess I should get to working. if luck is on my side I should be able to catch a nap early afternoon.

Nothing Exciting to Report

I tried to spend most of today working on the super secret blog project but I kinda got distracted while I was on the desktop. Surprisingly I've gotten more work done on the laptop while I was watching A.I. and DWTS finale. Still not going as fast as I would like it to, but researching is actually taking a little longer than I thought, even with wikipedia on my side .... or maybe BECAUSE wikipedia is on my side. We all know the possibilities of inaccuracies in using that as a reference tool since anyone on teh interwebz can edit any entry.

(side note, the research I'm doing kinda helped with trivia last night when we had the question "Besides the San Francisco 49ers, what are the 3 other teams that are undefeated in the Superbowl?" answer at the end of the post in case you're wondering. hint ... hubby would have killed me if I didn't get this answer correct)

Getting ready to watch a movie "The Haunting of Rebecca Verlaine" which could be good ... but then again it could be really really bad. You never know with the movies that hubby chooses. All I know is it's a horror movie (really, are you surprised?) and it appears to be of the low budget indie variety.

One more small thing...I"m really enjoying having a laptop. damn you Monica, you were right.

P.S. the answer is NY Jets, Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
