so i went to L2 today for the shadow aisha from neopets. Kevin is SOOOOOOO lucky!!! they only had 1 left!!!! i got it thank goodness, but i didn't get a rare item card cuz they were all out of them (tho i don't see how since they still had 1 aisha left, but oh well) so i bought a couple white kougra stickers ( for the code inside ). they didn't have any picture frames there, but they did have the door hangers. THEY ARE SO CUTE! $10.50 a piece tho. *crazy* so, now i'm off to work *yuck* and then off to our friend Paul's b-day party tonight (he's turning 31 MUAHAHAHA!)
Saturday Scruples! A game of moral dilemmas at VillaSantiago.com!
1. Visiting a friend you see an invitation to a surprise birthday party for you! Do you pretend it's still a surprise?
of course!! no need to spoil the surprise for them :p~
2.Your new lover is impressed by your sexual stamina. She doesn't suspect you use Viagra [substitute similar supplement for women or answer it from a lady's point of view]. Do you take the credit?
hmmmmmm..... well, i would have to say yes. no harm, no foul.
3. A friend thinks his idea for a theme restaurant will make a fortune. You think he'll loss his shirt. Do you discourage him?
I don't know that i would discourage him, but i would definitely speak my mind and give him input. I mean, that's what friends do, right? I'd tell him what i feel the pros and cons are and let him ultimately make the decision himself. I'd just let him no i'd be there for him in success and in failure, preferably success ;) And just because i don't think it will work doesn't mean it won't. It could be a huge success.

the friday five
1. Explain why you started to journal/blog.
I wanted a place to be able to talk about stuff. personal or not-so-personal. a place to showcase information &/or links i found funny or useful or interesting.I used to keep a written journal religiously every day for years. i started in 1985. and i don't really find i have the time to write in that everyday anymore. but i DO usually find time to sit at the computer for a couple of minutes to check email and blog. It's just a little easier this way.
2. Do people you interact with day to day or family members know about your journal/blog? Why or why not?
Yes. a couple people i see in RL know about my blog. Actually I've told a few people, but i don't know if they check it out or not cuz they don't comment. Which is no big deal, sometimes there's nothing really to comment on. It's kind of a cool way to see what's going on in my life . . . or at least my head . . . and stay connected. Mostly i think my fellow PurkleCouchers that take a peek. And they pretty much count too, even tho i've never interacted with them outside the computer, cuz i probably talk to them more than most of my RL friends.*hugs*(i said "most" not "all" :p~)
3. Do you have a theme for your journal/blog?
Not really. It's just randomness of what i feel like writing about at the time. I remember learning about "stream of Consciousness writing" when i was in high school. That's pretty much what it is. And if you think THIS is random, you should see some of my handwritten journals *rolls eyes*
4. What direction would you like to have your journal/blog go in over the next year?
Not really sure. I think I'd like to maybe add more of my past. So others and myself can kinda see where i've come from physically and emotionally. But not too serious. I don't wanna be emotionally drained everytime i sit down to blog or have nothing but endless *hugs* comments after my posts. There's alot i think i have to say. I just need to find my voice.
5. Pimp five of your favorite journals/blogs.
Well, i don't really read many blogs, so i'm just gonna say
my girl Cindy's
my friend Doreen's
Chris Pirillo (of TechTV Call for Help fame)
Dave Barry (funny columnist extraordinaire)
andEagle (from the purklecouch)
OH! and i ialmost forgot about Linda's blog!!! *hugs*

I will be so happy when my mom gets her car back from the shop. Altho Kevin just said that chances are we're gonna be taking her into work for awhile. The car has been in the shop for a little over a week . . . 2 different shops actually . . . and they have both said that it starts up just fine and they can't find anything wrong with it. *grrrrrrrrr* So in the meantime i get to wake up early with Kevin and take them both to work. Did i mention i hate mornings??? I don't know how i did it for all those years i had to wake up early and go to school. And the ironic thing is that yesterday, when i SHOULD have felt bad because we went out drinking the night before i felt wonderful. I was interactive and happy . Today all i want to do is grumble and go back to sleep. hmmmmmm . . . maybe i was still drunk?? that could explain it.
Dammit. I was folding up my TV tray last night after dinner and it snapped shut and smashed my fingers. Hurt so much i actually cried. Kevin took care of me and got me ice and held me until i stopped crying and calmed me down. It's been a long time since i've cried in pain. It still freaking hurts and i have the tiniest bruise underneath my nail on my left pointer finger. I'm hoping i iced it soon enough and it's not going to get bigger or i'm not going to lose my nail. I've always heard horror stories about that happening to people. I don't know the medical stuff behind it, like if the bruise has to be so big or whatever, but i'm worried. I don't want to lose my nail *sob*
Okay, time to leave the house. I swear to you i'm coming home and going straight back to sleep :p~

Soda spill on lobby floor of FBI causes commotion
2003-02-12
By Ken Raymond
The Oklahoman
A disoriented man caused a stir Tuesday when he entered FBI headquarters in Oklahoma City and spilled a soft drink on the floor of the lobby.
By the time the situation was sorted out, the FBI office was awash in reporters, camera crews, firefighters and even a hazardous materials crew.
"The guy came in to furnish some information," Special Agent Jay Moeller said. "He wasn't all there. He had some sort of head trauma or something."
Realizing the man was in crisis, the FBI contacted his family and called for an ambulance to take him to Mercy Health Center.
Right about then, he spilled his soft drink on the lobby floor. Somehow the spilled drink turned into a report that the man was spraying a mysterious powder around the room -- something, Moeller said, that never happened.
"He dropped his Coke on the floor of the atrium where you come in," Moeller said. "HAZ-MAT, the fire department and an ambulance showed up for a spilled Coke."

So, we went out for karaoke tonight (me, Kev, tre & my mom) and this guy sayt next to us & he sang a couple of times.. Nice voice. About 10:30Pm the tap lines for the beer froze up (we were drinking pitchers) so this guy bought us all 4 a bottle beer to hold us over until they fixed the tap beer. Before he left he gave my mom his card. so, here i am. Tuesday morning. 5am. and i can't sleep. Neopets is down and no one's hanging at the PurkleCouch.
Kevin's sound asleep, bless his soul. I tried. I slept for maybe an hour . . . could have been an hour and a half . . . and woke up to being too hot and my brain going a mile a minute. PMS i think. i should be doing something constructive with my time since i can't sleep, but instead, here i am.
Kevin finally wrote again the other night. He hasn't shown me any of the pieces yet, but he seems very excited. He wants to polish them up before i get to see them. I haven't seen anything of his since last year when he wrote me my Valentine's Day gift (see the poem on my website in progress A Poem) (yes Cindy, I still have to put your picture up there :p~) So i'm excited for him. He hasn't written much since we've been together. He says it's because he doesn't know how to write about when he's happy. His best writing (he says) comes from when he's miserable and drunk and chain smoking. HOPEFULLY, he'll never be in that place again, so he had better learn to write in this state of mind :p~
I was doing some thinking about our wedding. We've been engaged almost 2 1/2 years now. June 20th, 2003 will be the 3 year anniversary of when we met. We've been living together since then. It's probably time we get married and make it legal. His family likes me and my family likes him. And most importantly, we love each other.
We were thinking about going to Vegas and having a "Star Trek" wedding (altho Kevin still tries to push for Elvis) . . . but i was thinking. His Mom and Dad are both pretty ill. His mom can't even hardly leave their apartment because she's in a wheelchair and it's hard for her to get around. And his dad is in the first stages of Alzheimer's and only gonna get worse. I know they'd like to see their eldest son get married . . . this time to the right woman (not to toot my own horn . . . but Kevin was married before for 9 years and she was a BITCH!!!)(no never met her personally, but i've heard stories. if i ever DID meet her . . . LORD HAVE MERCY!) ,b.ANYWAY . . . I was thinking and i think i have decided that i want to get married in the little "chapel" we have here in Wyandotte. It's totally cheesy. It's a renovated steak house. The people that own it ALSO own the hall across the street from it and they give "deals" (according to their sign outside). And it's 5 minutes away from us. Which makes it close for his whole family and close for my family. And any family that decided to come in for the occassion (from out of town) would have places to stay without having to pay for hotel rooms and such. it's one level, so there would be no problems for Kevin's mom to attend and get in and out. And we could always renew our vows on our anniversary or something. Go out to Vegas for our honeymoon. I just think it would be kind of selfish for me to insist on going out of town to get married. The most important part is that we're together with our family and friends. We want the actual wedding to be small anyway. PLUS . . . as my mom so conveniently pointed out . . . all the money being saved on travel can then be spent on us :p~
YAY! Neopets is back up!!! Now i can play and have no life again!!! I need to get some sleep. but don't count on it. I have to be up by 7am anyway to take Kevin and my mom to work. So it might be better just to stay up and take a shower around 6:30am so i can wake up ;)
See ya on the flip side!!
