Gearing up for the Snowpocolypse and stuff

Right now i should be cleaning and doing laundry - instead I'm watching "Anything But Love" from 2002 starring Isabel Rose and Andrew McCarthy. I thought I would really like it - plus i needed something to cleanse my palate after watching "Hounddog" starring Dakota Fanning. That movie totally creeped me out and made me think it brilliant at the same time.





Anyway .... this move is so bad. SO BAD! It's about a chick who wants to be a cabaret singer and ends up in a kind of a love triangle btwn her, a guy she had a crush on in high school and a random piano player who keeps popping into her life. I really thought I was gonna like it, and maybe I would have if it had starred anyone else but Isabel Rose. She is quite possibly one of the worst actresses I have seen lately. Actually the whole cast sucks except for Andrew McCarthy. And Eartha Kitt. Cuz she's amazing.

And let's not even get started on the singing. It's all Isabel Rose and it's all pretty much crap.

I really kinda wanted to like it cuz I could relate - plus Isabel Rose went to Yale - so she had that going for her.

Ultimately, this movie, written by Isabel Rose, is a self-indulgent piece of crap I wouldn't recommend to anyone else. Unless you really WANT to waste 90 minutes of your life.

The only movie worse than this I've seen lately is the Nia Vardolos disaster "I Hate Valentine's Day".

Guess I should try and redeem the lost 90 minutes by trying to clean up the apt and watching the snow fall. If all goes as planned hubby should be home by around 10pm so we can snuggle together and keep warm during the blizzard of 2011
