Day #9

Spent today doing absolutely nothing constructive. Okay - 1 thing - I actually made dinner tonight. Arroz con pollo. I didn't have exactly the ingredients I wanted, so I improvised with what we had around the house. It turned out yummy tho! Normally I would have added chile ancho and tomato paste, but since i didn't have any i settled for regular chili powder. I'll post a recipe tomorrow - today is all about being lazy lol.




Tomorrow is a busy day. I have a show this weekend (and next 2 weekends) so i'm making some more bottlecap stuff. This week is working on some rings and bracelets. I only have about 5 picture bracelets (single pic bottlecap on a chainmaille band) and about 4 bottlecap bracelets (Oberon, Bud Light, etc.) so i really need to build my stock back up. I got distracted with all the focus on chainmaille and kinda let the caps fall to the wayside. I need to make a few more beaded bottlecap bracelets too. Gotta order some beads for that tho. All i have is round 8mm czech beads. I need 6mm and i need a different beading wire. Hoping to make an order for that stuff in the next week if all goes well.

and lastly, kinda pissed that hubby didn't get paid today. I had balanced our funds perfectly - so much so that we have exactly $1 in our bank account after all the bills were paid and cleared today. Which is awesome, but i left no extra money in case of this emergency so hubby has no extra money for smokey treats or even gas.

*le sigh* Someday I'll go into detail about our finances. It's really sucktastic. I know everyone's suffering, but really things with us have gotten so bad it's a miracle we're keeping afloat (barely)
