Magikjaz Unplugged

Before I even go thru the zillions of emails I have waiting for me
and posts on the boards, lemme fill y'all in on what happened on the trip (reader's digest condensed version)

We left Sunday, stopped in VA and saw my bro-in-law...everything cool. Left Monday for Atlanta, GA. Turns out my aunt lives about 2 hours outside and around Atlanta so I didn't get to meet JJenn:(. Left Tuesday to New Orleans, LA. Spent 2 fabulous days and nights there... It was great... Left Thursday to go to just outside Lafayette, LA to be there for my cousin's wedding on Saturday (got there early to have some time with the family) As we were coming thru the worst rain I have ever seen, we went down a highway that had a sign "water on the road" Other cars were going thru it just fine. We tried, got about 100 yards into it and the car sputtered and died. Eventually we were able to tow it to my Uncle's House and my cousin looked at it. The diagnosis was grim. We were going to then rent a truck and tow the sucker back up here, but we didn't have enough money at the time to make that happen. After a whole bunch of crying and stress and worries if we were ever going to be able to come back to Michigan again, we were finally able to rent a car yesterday.

Kevin had to be at work today (about an hour ago) so we marathon drove 23 hours and just got home to find a message on the phone from my Uncle in Louisiana that the car is basically totaled. So now we have no idea what to do, but at least we are home.

It was a fabulous trip (except for the whole car thing) and I can't wait to get all the pictures uploaded onto a website. For now I'm going to play catch up!
