Day #17

So the guy that I talked to at the Livonia Elks show emailed me regarding making some bottlecaps for his business. So i made a couple mockups (I love Photoshop) and sent them back to him. Just waiting on his reply. I think they look awesome, but then I'm partial to my work.

I also ordered some holiday images from an etsy seller instead of working on gleaning images and making them myself cuz frankly my puter is running so slow lately it's driving me insane. We really need to update it - or upgrade. I WISH we could get into that $1200 deal at Best Buy where you get the desktop, laptop and netbook with Windows 7, but that's a pipe dream. We can't even spend $12 on a new puter right now.




Nothing much to report on the home front. Spent some time with Mom yesterday chatting and stuff. She went to court today regarding her house. She's been in foreclosure awhile now and court today was to determine when she has to leave the house. She has until Jan 2nd. They were going to make her leave in 30 days but she pleaded with them to do it after the holidays. She's gonna rent one of those PODS and store all her stuff and move in with Papa I guess.

I'm kinda sad about losing the childhood home, but hubby and I can't afford to take it over. We can barely afford our house right now. (and it's not looking good) It'll be weird to think of someone else living there. It's been our home for over 30 years :(

And that my friends is how hard the Michigan economy is. When a woman loses her home of 50 years cuz she can no longer afford it.
