The Sphinx Competition

A friend of mine got 2 tickets for me to go check out the Sphinx Competition in Detroit today.

Essentially Sphinx music is a program that focusses on getting more blacks and latinos interested in classical music. Today's program is the final of their competition.

The day that my friend told me he had these tickets was the same day I first heard of the Sphinx Competition. I figured it was the universe's way of saying "YOU NEED TO GO!" so I am.

It's been a long time since I've been to anything classical. Should be fun. And my mom's going with me as well.
