Why 2012?
Why 2012?
So tonight ... well last night now... we went over to Paul's house and hung out with him and julie and watched a videotape of our junior year musical production of "Carnival!" It was amazing to watch. I'm sure Julie and Kevin were bored to tears, but i was enthralled. I can't believe how pretty and skinny i was. It gives me incentive to start working on myself more first of all...but it makes me feel better about how i was in high school. I never felt good enough. Looking back tho, I was pretty and I sang well and I got lots of applause at the end of the show... once I lose some weight I think I may try out for some Community theatre productions again.
I borrowed the tape so my mom could see it. I also borrowed a tape of the 86 xmas concert and 87 mayfestival. OMG! I cannot even believe it. It brought back a ton of memories and I was shocked at how many people I remembered watching that thing. And lol at the end of the Mayfestival the choir did the traditional "senior song" (for which everyone gets teary-eyed since it's the last performance of all the senior year students) and i was in the background hugging my friend Paula Cannatella... then the choir did a song after that and it's funny cuz there's all kinds of choir robes...chorus is standing to the side... and there I am right smack in the front row of the alto section (right hand side)...the only one without a choir robe on. I had some guts :p~ When the song ends I'm hugging the one and talking to her, so I assume we were good friends and that's why i did it, altho i don't remember being THAT good of friends with her. Oh well lol. At least I remember her name. Now THAT would be embarrassing. Well, maybe not. I mean, it is ...OMG SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO!!!! Now I feel old. i was only FOURTEEN!!!!! and only SIXTEEN in the video of Carnival!!!! OMG!!! Now I must go and cry.

*sigh* I'm so depressed. Wings lost tonight to the Calgary Flames and thusly lost their chance at the Stanley Cup. Overtime. like 30 seconds left to go. And the guy that beat out Cujo before when Toronto played Carolina was the one that beat him out tonight. I can't talk much about it. Took me hours just to blog about it. I'm so depressed. I feel so lonely now.

NFL.com wire reports
PHOENIX (April 29, 2004) -- Pat Tillman was promoted posthumously from specialist to corporal after the former NFL player was killed while serving as an Army Ranger in Afghanistan.
"The Army always notes that rank and promotion are not a reward of what was done well, but a recognition that you have the potential to do more," Army spokeswoman Martha Rudd said. "This promotion is essentially saying that he would have been a fine leader."
Tillman, who walked away from a three-year, $3.6 million contract offer from the Arizona Cardinals to join the Army in 2002, was killed April 22 when the Army patrol was ambushed near the Afghan-Pakistani border.
The promotion will not affect any benefits his family receives. Both ranks are E4, or the fourth rank available for enlisted soldiers.
Although Tillman never publicly offered reasons for his decision, several friends have said the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks affected him deeply.
Tillman was the first NFL player killed in combat since Buffalo offensive tackle Bob Kalsu died in the Vietnam War in July 1970. Nineteen NFL players were killed in World War II.
The Cardinals have said they will retire Tillman's No. 40 and name the plaza surrounding the team's new stadium in suburban Glendale the Pat Tillman Freedom Plaza

Google Search: male blonde hockey
*sigh* I have been thinking of an old old bf that I had many moons ago so much these past few days i can't even stand it. Since Saturday. His name was Steve Palmateer. His uncle was Mike Palmateer, the amazing goalie for the Toronto Maple Leafs. I met him at a bar drinking Labatt's. I was the bartender at Fort Street Station. He was so cute and had this amazing French-Canadian accent. We started seeing each other. It probably wasn't a really good relationship as i look back on it, but man he was HOT! He was a hockey goalie (just like his uncle) I remember the first time I saw him without his shirt on I seriously gasped. He had such an amazing body! I still don't understand what he was doing with me. I was so out of shape at the time (this was around 1996/1997) Maybe it wasn't really a relationship, who knows. I mean he knew stuff about me and I knew stuff about him and we didn't ALWAYS fool around when we saw each other. He worked at Ford's if I remember correctly. I found his old pager number once. I almost called it. this was about 3 years ago. Right after I started seeing Kevin I think...or maybe during the move last time. I have been thinking about him so much I am almost CONVINCED I'm going to see him somewhere soon. I have half a mind to go to Mr. E's or JR Pub to see if he shows up. That's where we used to go hang out together. I've googled him both as Steve Palmateer and Etienne Palmateer and I can't find any pictures or anything about him anywhere. *sigh* Just a picture and I'd be happy. Kinda like Aaron Craig. I can always look at his tripod page and remember that I once had him. And it makes remembering so much easier.
I think Steve was in my dream this afternoon. It was a dream loosely based on Hellboy....very strange...I don't remember all the details and the ones I do wouldn't make sense, but I remember a guy that I met and fell in love with and we were originally on opposing sides, but we ended up on the same one and then he got shot and died. He had vital information and was consequently ressurected for a short while to give the info on where we could find something needed to beat the bad guys. I didn't know this but someone showed the item to me and I gasped and he pointed me over to this guy and I went over with tears in my eyes (think princess bride type ressurection) and kissed him and he told me "confidentially i never even raised the _____" (it was some funky word we used for gun) and I said back to him "Confidentially neither did I" and we kissed again like there was no tomorrow and then he was gone. Then I woke up. And now all i can think of is Steve again, which leads me to believe it was him in the dream.
I wish I could visually record my dreams.
