HUZZAH!!!!!

i've been keyboardless since sometime last week and it's been painful. i have access to the interwebz but couldn't interact except thru twitter and the IM applications on my phone. (thank goodness for unlimited texting packages)

i came to the conclusion thru some trial and error that the plug was bad ... not the keyboard. so i tried getting a PS 2 to USB adaptor. $30 at best buy. luckily my sister is awse and found 1 on ebay for $2 which she ordered for me.

that was monday. since then i've been clicking arond as far as my history and saved passwords would let me (which wasn't much cuz i don't like using the save passwords option). i could still sing and record and if i was lucky i could use existing words to copy and paste a message. frustrating.

a couple of days ago i got the brilliant idea to text my gmail from my phone whatever i wanted to say or look up and work from there. it worked ... but it was time consuming and i could only send messages 140 characters or less. but it at least expanded what i could do online, which was a good thing.

well ... today my friend bipper sent me a link thru Y!M over my phone which i then fwd to my gmail for a virtual keyboard. designed for people with mobility problems, it was just what i needed!!!!

so i am extremely ecstatic that at least now i can communicate (and blog) again!

of course my time w/o a keyboard hasn't been completely wasted. i got some things done around the house and scanned a bunch of pics my mom sent home w/ me on Easter Sunday. at least now i can organize them.

Having puter issues

my keyboard decided it doesn't want to work anymore. I made sure it was plugged in and I even tried plugging in the other one we have and it was a no go. So it looks like I'm gonna have to upgrade to a usb version.

I'm at mom's right now and luckily she has a usb keyboard she's willing to swap with me YAY!!! so I should be able to surf the interwebz when we get back home. I'm so happy!

Clicking around with a mouse is fine but you don't realize how much you use a keyboard until you don't have one.
